The ALJ 54 thin-film air float vibration isolator is designed for high-precision applications, including precision machining equipment, laboratory instruments, and measurement systems such as coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and electron microscopes. It provides ultra-low natural frequency isolation, ensuring stable and accurate operation of sensitive equipment.
The isolator consists of a bearing cover, L-shaped fixing bracket, flow control valve with height adjustment knob, push rod, air inlet for the horizontal control valve, emergency pressure relief valve, and a lower base plate.
This integrated structure enables precise leveling, stable load support, and reliable vibration isolation performance.


When compressed air is supplied to the air inlet, the membrane airbag inflates, lifting the load-bearing cover together with the mounted equipment. Once pressurized, an elastic air film is formed between the isolator and the foundation, effectively decoupling the equipment from the ground and surrounding environment.
This air-based support system enables both passive vibration isolation, by reducing the transmission of external vibrations, and active vibration isolation, by stabilizing the equipment against internal and environmental disturbances.
